A fire has broken out at the Accra Tourist Information Centre, located opposite Afrikiko in the heart of the capital.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown, as personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) work to bring the situation under control.
According to sources, the fire started in the early hours of Monday, August 4, around 1:00 a.m.
Eyewitnesses say the flames may have originated from the kitchen area of Rockz Waakye, a popular food vendor operating within the premises.
However, the exact cause is yet to be determined.
No injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
In a related development, over 50 wooden structures and metal containers were destroyed in a separate fire incident at Madina Ritz Junction on Sunday, displacing scores of residents.
That blaze reportedly began at a washing bay within the slum area. Firefighters from the Madina Fire Station responded swiftly, working to prevent the fire from spreading further.
