The Africa Center for Digital Transformation (ACDT) has been honoured with a prestigious award at the CYSEC Africa 2025 Conference for its outstanding contribution as a knowledge Partner.
The award was presented on Thursday, August 7, 2025, during the closing ceremony of the high-level continental cybersecurity gathering held in Johannesburg in South Africa.
The recognition highlights ACDT’s pivotal role in shaping conversations, sharing critical research, and supporting the policy and practice frameworks that define Africa’s evolving cybersecurity ecosystem.
Through thought leadership and strategic engagement, the Center has helped ensure that digital transformation efforts across the continent are secure, inclusive, and resilient.
In a double celebration for the organization, ACDT’s Executive Director, Kwesi Atuahene, was also personally recognised for his valuable contributions to the CYSEC Africa Advisory Board. His dedication to advancing cybersecurity policy, digital capacity building, and multistakeholder collaboration has earned him accolades from peers and policymakers alike.

“This award is not just a recognition of ACDT’s work but a reflection of the growing impact of African-led digital transformation initiatives. We are honoured and encouraged to continue supporting governments, private sector actors, and civil society across the continent in building a digitally secure Africa,” Mr. Atuahene said in response to the award.
CYSEC Africa 2025 convened leading cybersecurity experts, policymakers, tech innovators, and institutions from across the continent and beyond, focusing on strengthening Africa’s cyber resilience in an era of accelerated digital growth.
ACDT’s presence and participation underscored its commitment to championing evidence-based solutions, collaborative innovation, and inclusive policy dialogue in Africa’s digital future.
The Africa Center for Digital Transformation is a pan-African research institute and think tank committed to advancing digital transformation, technology policy and cybersecurity readiness across Africa.
