Boxing Promotion Syndicate, ACE Power Promotions (APP) will host a day boxing seminar on Wednesday, March 26 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra at 3:00 PM GMT
Dubbed ‘Uplifting Ghana Boxing’, the event is geared towards the development and promotion of boxing in Ghana.
Also, to equip the boxing fraternity with modern day match making, sponsorship, partnerships and training as it is opened to trainers, coaches, promoters, boxers and referees.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of APP, Dr. Adae Opoku Amoako highlighted the importance of the event to the development of boxing.
“Our boxing is not up to international standards and therefore we all have a collective responsibility to play to revive it. Some structures need to be improved and restructured. We need events like this to enlighten every stakeholder in the boxing industry”, he said.
According to him, the event will be held annually with other stakeholders who are keen on the development and promotion of boxing.
He added that, a series of amateur boxing bouts will be held as part of their efforts to revive juvenile boxing.
Notable among the speakers who will be gracing the event are Former IBF Welterweight Champion, Joshua Clottey, US-based Promoter, Eric Davis, Renowned Ghanaian Boxing Journalist, Nathaniel Attoh and World Champion Trainer, Andre Rozier.
