The young man who committed suicide at the Achimota Golf Course is alleged to have shown the rope he committed the suicide with to friends and neighbors before he hanged himself. Teos Quashie, father of three and a resident of Christian village, is said to have left home around 9pm after having supper with his family and never returned until 11pm when they heard of his death. A close friend of the deceased Jonathan in an interview with Maame Akua on Asempa FM's Abrabo Monday, said Teos' wise counsel helped restored his marriage. He described the deceased as a hard working and responsible man who provided all his family needs. According to Jonathan, though he did not see his friend before his death, neighbors alleged that Teos showed the rope to them before the unfortunate act. He said the neighbours chased him to prevent him from committing suicide but to no avail as he managed to outsmart them. Meanwhile, residents in the area have alleged that family members of the deceased are pointing accusing fingers at his wife for causing the death of his husband. But the deceased wife has denied having a fight with her husband prior to his death. Meanwhile, the wife together with some family members visited the police hospital Monday to witness the autopsy. Daughter of the deceased, name withheld, told Maame Akua on Abrabo at Asempa FM that the last time she saw her father was the night before his death when they ate together. The twelve year old said her father was very responsible and provided all her needs. The emotional girl said her father has been lovely and he has never show any sign of his intention to commit suicide till he died.
