Activa Foundation, a special purpose vehicle set up by Activa International Insurance to initiate, undertake and coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for needy communities, has constructed a water system with 50,000 litres storage capacity for the people of Breman Jamara in the Asikuma Adoben Brakwa District in the Central Region.
The water project was jointly commissioned by the Managing Director of Activa International Insurance Ghana, Benjamin Yamoah and the Gyaasehene of Breman Jamara, Nana Kwesi Ennin III, on Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 at a colourful ceremony at Breman Jamara.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Managing Director of Activa International Insurance Ghana, Benjamin Yamoah said, the water system will ensure constant and stable supply of good and hygienic drinking water to the people of Breman Jamara, thereby improving on the health and wellbeing of the people in the community and possibly neighboring communities as it comes with two 25,000 litre tanks. It means at every point in time, the community has access to 50,000 litres of good and hygienic drinking water.
Mr. Yamoah explained that water is life so at Activa Ghana, they are excited that through the Activa Foundation, they have been able to give back to society by providing good drinking water to the people of Breman Jamara, thereby eliminating waterborne diseases that come with drinking unwholesome water.

The Gyaasehene of Breman Jamara, Nana Kwesi Ennin III, expressed delight and appreciation to Activa Foundation for bringing life to the chiefs and people of Breman Jamara.
He said, residents in his community have been struggling to get potable water for a long time, this neglect has brought about various water-borne diseases.
"We are therefore grateful to Activa International Insurance Ghana for coming to our aid to solve this water problem for us".
