Police in Adenta are gathering evidence to try and unravel the mystery surrounding the death of a 57-year-old man.
The deceased, Freeman Moses Senu, is the husband of a cook at the Police headquarters in Accra.
He is said to have been killed on Wednesday evening after he had visited his wife at her workplace.
Adenta District Police Commander DSP Steven Ahaitafu told Joy News although the cause of death is unknown, they suspect foul play.
DSP Ahaitafu said they were informed by the deceased’s wife that Moses came to the house on the 13th of July and left around 2030 hours, but their son informed her of his death the next day.
The police officer revealed that there was a cut on the waist of the corpse as well as blood stains, adding they are carrying out investigations to ascertain the facts behind the death of the man.
