Students in Adidome and neighbouring communities in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region now have access to a modern, fully equipped community library, an initiative spearheaded by the Chief of Adidome, Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman, to strengthen education and promote lifelong learning.
The newly inaugurated facility, the first of its kind in the community, is stocked with a rich collection of textbooks, literature, reference materials, and digital learning resources.

It is expected to serve as a safe and conducive learning hub for pupils, students, and young people who require a supportive environment to study after school hours.
Speaking during the commissioning, Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman said the project reflects his commitment to expanding educational opportunities for children and youth in Adidome.
He noted that access to quality learning spaces remains crucial for academic improvement and intellectual development.

The Central Tongu District Director of Education, Happy Tsifokor, lauded the initiative, describing it as a timely and impactful intervention.
She encouraged students to make full use of the library to strengthen their reading culture, enhance comprehension skills, and boost academic performance.
District Chief Executive for Central Tongu, Adison Mornyuie, also commended the effort and appealed to individuals, organisations, and philanthropists to support similar educational projects.

He stressed that collaborative community investment is key to providing holistic and quality education for all children in the district.
The new community library is expected to become an important learning hub and a catalyst for educational transformation in Adidome, offering students the opportunity to explore knowledge in a conducive setting and inspiring a new generation of avid readers and achievers.
