Traders at the Adum Blue Light Arena have pulled down the fence used by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to cordon off the affected market area to get access for their trade.
On Thursday, the traders went to the market to find roofing sheets used to cordon off the place, preventing them from accessing the market.
Though the market was heavily protected by military officers, the traders ignored their presence.
The market women clad in red expressed their displeasure over what they call attempts to take over the land.

The market queen mother, Abena Nsowaa says the traders will continue to pull down barricades erected to prevent them access to the market.
"If KMA takes over the reconstruction, we will be left out of the stores to be shared", she said.
A month ago, fire swept through the Blue Light Arena of the Adum Market, affecting thousands of traders.

Traders defied warnings of the KMA against returning to the area to trade.
Checks at the market indicated some traders have already erected tables for their trading activities.
Some developers are also actively reconstructing one of the three-storey buildings razed by the fire despite warnings from the KMA.
