Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton says he has no 'personal' issue against any of his players after his substitution of Osman Bukari raised concerns.
The winger was taken off just 15 minutes after replacing Inaki Williams in Ghana's second group game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Egypt on Thursday evening.
Bukari has a nightmare introduction to the game after he was dispossessed in his own area by Trzeguet, who went on to set up the Pharaohs' second equaliser in the 2-2 draw.
The player was substituted 15 minutes later with real involvement in the game which raised questions.
Answering questions at the press conference after the game, the Irish trainer said: "After the mistake, sometimes your emotions can get hold of you and we felt that the mistake, because it is an emotional game, we felt the mistake, it affected him a little bit so we decided to make the change."
"This is nothing personal against anybody. We like him a lot and this doesn’t go against anything that we think of him."
Two individual errors on the night cost the Black Stars all three points on the night despite Mohammed Kudus scoring a brace in the encounter.
Ghana will now come up against Mozambique in their final Group B encounter on Monday, January 22.
