The Black Stars commenced their preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger, with their first training session taking place on Monday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
About 10 players participated in the training session which was led by the technical team.
Otto Addo and his assistants were involved in a ghastly car accident last weekend, but they were available to lead the boys to prepare the boys for the two games, with the first match happening on Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Skipper of the side, Thomas Partey, who has had brilliant start to new Premier League season with Arsenal led the playing body.
Other players present were Brighton's Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, who got his debut call up as a replacement for the injured Alexander Djiku , Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Frederick Asare, Ebenezer Annan, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

The remaining invited players are expected to be available for the next training session on Tuesday.
Ghana’s first qualifying match against Angola is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, before facing Niger four days later in Berkane, Morocco.
