Prince Chidi Nze 36, has been arrested by the Aflao Police for his alleged involvement in the killing of a Togolese businessman in a robbery case in Lome two years ago.
He has been handed over to the Togolese security to assist with investigations into the case.
Superintendent of Police Ahmed Issa Yakubu, in charge of the Aflao District told the Ghana News Agency that Nze, who was resident in Lome, was among a group of people engaged in cross-border crime between Ghana and Togo.
He said in November 2009, Nze and his accomplices went on a robbery expedition in Lome during which they shot and killed the unnamed business tycoon.
Supt Yakubu said one of Nze's accomplices was also shot and killed by the Togolese Military who engaged them in a shoot out.
He said Nze, left his passport at the reception of a hotel in Lome, which assisted the country's security to print and distribute his picture in Ghana and Togo.
Supt Yakubu said on February 18, Nze was spotted by an informant at Denu and was arrested after a fierce struggle with the police and members of the public.
