Three-Time bantamweight world champion Joseph King Kong Agbeko (30-5) returns to action on August 27 at the Accra Stadium in an international contest against 'The pride of Tanzania' Haji Mwalugo Juma (18-8-5).

The high profile ten-rounder has been code named “Fight For Peace” and is being promoted by Fresh King Entertainment who have been responsible for staging all of Agbeko's fight in his homeland.

In an interview with Joy Sports Agbeko said the event was his contribution towards preaching peace in Ghana ahead of the Presidential and Parliamentary elections on December 7. "I was initially supposed to feature in  the legendary night with my brother Joshua Clottey but we have re-scheduled it. As the elections are approaching, we need to do everything in our power as Ghanaians to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. Ghana is all we have and as a big name sportsman I want to advocate for peace," he said.

Agbeko is expected to be joined by his friends in politics, arts and entertainment, commerce and industry and other areas of endeavour for the fight night.  

"I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm shown so far. This is a sign that we will have many people come along to support this cause. Boxing is the only legal fight one can have. No other fight is permitted and we have to ensure that no one engages in any violence during and after the elections. I want Ghanaians to come along with me," he said.

 Joseph King Kong Agbeko is expected to fight again on September 30 against a yet-to-be confirmed opponent at The D Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be promoted by Roy Jones Promotions.

Joseph Agbeko first won the IBF bantamweight title in 2007  after defeating then champion Luis Alberto Perez. Defended it twice before losing it briefly to Yohnny Perez in 2009. He returned to reclaim the title from Perez the next year in the US. After a controversial loss to Mexican Abner Mares in August 2011, he earned a rematch but was unable to repeat his previous heroics against Yohnny Perez in this case. Agbeko later won the IBO bantamweight title in his homeland Ghana, after recording a unanimous decision against Colombian Luis Melendez.

Thirty-six-year-old Haji Juma comes into this bout with 18 wins six losses and five draws and will be fighting for the fourth time outside of his home country. Juma who has an orthodox stance has had a stint with t he UBO (Universal Boxing Organisation) flyweight title which he won and defended once last year.
