Three time world champion Joseph Agbeko has thrown extra focus on his conditioning ahead of his three remaining fights for the year.
Agbeko (30-5) who rose to World Championship status in 2007, is currently in his homeland preparing for a tune up contest against Tanzania's Haji Juma (16-8-5) at the Accra Stadium on August 27.
These will be followed by a bout in September and another one on December 17 in Las Vegas.
The Ghanaian explains that experience from previous fights and examples set by some of his training partners have convinced him to focus even more on his levels of conditioning.
"I stayed in Las Vegas for some time and know that boxers over there are hungrier than those of us here in Ghana. There are boxers who train as many as three times in a day," he told Joy Sports.
Agbeko says although he respects Juma as an opponent. He wants to look beyond the Tanzanian boxer.

"My primary target as I work towards the title holders in my division and the big names. I want to fight those names because it is only way to return to the top," he added.
The competition in the super bantamweight division is so keen that there is no unified champion. While the IBF belt is vacant, Mexican Hugo Ruiz holds the WBC title which he won in 2013 - months after losing his WBA title to Japan's Koki Kameda. Philipino Nonito Donaire is the reigning WBO champion while Guillermo Rigondeaux has the WBA version of the weight division's championship.
Agbeko moved up to the super bantamweight division after defeating the Colombia's Luis Melendes to annex the IBO bantamweight belt, in 2013 in his homeland.

The journey since has been mixed. He lost to Cuban-born Guillermo Rigondeaux who at that time had the WBA and WBO titles via a unanimous decision in December 2013. Agbeko explained that his loss to the Cuban was due to many hidden problems.
He went ahead to record a win against journeyman, Juanito Rubillar in Texas last year.
