The Association of Ghana Industry and the PURC are said to have come to some compromise on the recent tariff hikes.
This comes after what the Business and Financial Times newspaper describes as a heated meeting between the two agencies.
The PURC according to the paper has agreed to provide bulk purchasers of power some form of downward review in the tariffs in addition to arranging flexible payment terms with the electricity companies to help mitigate the effect of the increase on such companies.
The AGI is meanwhile expected to present a document to the PURC on the consequences of the increase on businesses.
