The Accra High Court has convicted evangelist Patricia Asieduaa, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, in the nude photo distribution case involving fellow pastor Emmanuel Appiah Fumum, also known as Osofo Biblical.
At proceedings on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the court imposed a fine of GHS12,000 on Agradaa and further ordered her to pay GHS50,000 as compensation to the complainant.
The conviction followed a plea bargain agreement reached between Agradaa and the State, bringing to an end a case that has spanned nearly three years.
Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned evangelist, was charged for allegedly broadcasting nude images of Pastor Appiah Fumum on her television station and social media platforms without his consent. Prosecutors said the images were aired during a live programme where panelists mocked the complainant, contrary to the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), which criminalises the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.
Earlier this month, the High Court directed both parties to file the terms of the plea bargain ahead of today’s sitting after defence counsel indicated that negotiations with the Office of the Attorney-General were far advanced. The complainant was involved in the discussions and was present in court.
Speaking to the media after the ruling, counsel for Nana Agradaa said the decision to opt for a plea bargain rather than a full trial brought finality to the matter.
“This case has been running for the past three years. Choosing the plea bargain option brought it to an end,” the lawyer said.
Nana Agradaa is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence with hard labour in a separate case involving fraudulent religious activities, a sentence she began serving in July 2025.
The ruling closes one of the more prominent cases under Ghana’s cybersecurity laws and underscores the consequences of the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.
