Air Force Officers of the Bok Kim Nam Golf Club joined their civilian counterparts from the Achimota Golf Club and Tema Country Golf Club in a Golf competition at the Officer Mess at Burma Camp, Accra on Saturday.The event was graced by Lieutenant Colonel Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, National Security Coordinator who joined the pool of golfers on the pitch of Bok Kim Nam, golf course.Y. S. Park emerged as the overall winner with a gross of 71 and a net of 61 to take the overall prize for the 1-15 Handicap when he recorded a handicap of 10.The tournament was sponsored by Sonitra, a construction firm.Lt Gbevlo-Lartey who is also the captain of the Bok Kim Nam Golf Club and has a handicap of 15 could however not make an impact in the game.In Group B which had a Handicap of 16-28, Abrokwa Edward who had a handicap of 22, made a gross of 80 and a net of 58 to come top of the group.Madam Eno Ofori-Atta who had a handicap of 28 made a gross of 95 and a net of 67 to beat the other competitors to grab the first position, E. A. Yaba came second with Aku Dorvlo coming third.Wing Commander Seth Fianya, Vice Captain of the Club said the Bok Kim Nam Golf Club was the only golf club in the centre of the city and with unique fixtures and only limited to army officers but occasionally civilian golfers are invited for competitions to foster military-civilian relations.Prizes were given to four competitors from each group including three of the veteran competitors.Source: GNA
