Air Namibia’s business operation in Ghana is already bearing fruits, barely eight months after the airline commenced flights in the country.
Acting Managing Director of the company, Theo Namases, says the liberalization of the airline industry has made Ghana a preferred destination for business.
This she says is affording the airline market options to choose from and introduce competitive pricing.
Mrs. Namases is confident Air Namibia’s operation in Ghana would be a success in serving the business, trade and tourism needs of the travelling public.
She was speaking at the launch of Air Namibia in Kumasi. The company’s operations involve provision of air transport services for passengers and cargo.
“We are happy to announce that when we started in November 2009, passenger numbers and support we have been receiving from our business partners and the Ghana community has been on the increase and depicting an upward positive trend line on our graph” noted Mrs. Namases.
The Akyeampemhene, Oheneba Adusie-Poku represented the Asantehene at the function. He is hopeful the investor-confidence in Kumasi’s economy would promote trade and create jobs.
