The Akuapem North Municipal Assembly has disclosed that two of the 51 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Eastern Region, are within the municipality.
According to the Municipal Public Health Emergency Committee Chairman, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, both are imported cases.
They involve a 59-year-old female and another 45-year-old female, who returned to the country on March 20 and March 19, respectively.
He noted that contact tracing, mandatory quarantine and testing are underway to ensure that the virus within the municipality is effectively controlled.
