President Akufo-Addo has appointed the former 1st Deputy National Women's Organizer of the NPP, Safia Mohammed, as the new National Coordinator for the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).
A letter dated December 18, 2023, signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, indicated that the appointment takes immediate effect.
The President entreated the new National Coordinator to discharge her duties with the utmost professionalism.
"I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you as the National Coordinator for the Ghana School Feeding Programme. Your appointment is effective immediately. You are required to discharge your duties with superlative professionalism and ensure the success of the Programme. Please accept the President's best wishes," the letter read.

The letter was copied to the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Board Chairman of the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
Safia Mohammed, who was also the Savannah Regional Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, replaces the late Dr. Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah as the National Coordinator.

The position became vacant after the death of Dr Mrs Quashigah on November 12, 2023.
