President Akufo-Addo has commissioned the Adansi North District Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, this reaffirms the government's commitment to establishing and completing hospitals under the Agenda 111 initiative.
Speaking at the commissioning of the hospital, he said “The completion of the Adansi North District hospital is a testament to our dedication to providing state-of-the-art health facilities in line with current health care standards across the nation."
He also said that similar hospital projects have been completed in Kumawu, Fomena, and Takoradi. These hospitals are part of a broader agenda to complete numerous healthcare projects.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo mentioned that five health facilities in the Western Region, the upgrading of one facility in the Western North, and the Ashanti Regional Hospital at Sewia are currently under construction.
He assured that by year-end, the government would complete several significant projects, including the urology and neurology center of excellence at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the construction of 11 district hospitals, and one polyclinic in the Ashanti, Eastern, Greater Accra, and Ahafo regions.
“These efforts align with our commitments to achieving universal health coverage and guarantee improved and more efficient health care for all Ghanaians,” he added.
