Bayport Management Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Akwasi Aboagye as the Managing Director of Bayport Savings and Loans, its subsidiary in Ghana.
He succeeds Mr Nii Amankra Tetteh who left the company in May 2021.
Akwasi joined the Bayport Group in December 2018 as the Financial Controller of the operation in Ghana.
In July 2019, he was promoted to Chief Credit Officer, the position he still held at the time of his promotion to Managing Director.
Prior to his tenure with Bayport, Akwasi was Finance Manager of the Ghanaian arm of the Agric
Development Company of Africa. His career started with Barclays Bank Ghana Limited (now Absa Bank Ghana Limited), where he progressed from an Operations Officer to Group and Financial Reporting Manager (Assistant Vice President - Finance Department) over a period of 10 years.
He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
