The Founder and Leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen says he aims to establish the biggest skills development centre in whole of West Africa sub-region to be based in the Volta Region.
This he said, would be part of his regional development agenda where every region would have a specific project under his administration to uplift the economic status of the country.
Mr. Kyerematen said this during his Market Tour of the Volta Region.
He kicked off the tour in the Juapong Market in the Central Tongu District, to canvas for votes ahead of the December 7 general elections.

He promised to transform the town into an economic hub by revamping the Volta Star Textile factory, uplifting the market, and establishing a trader’s bank in the area.
Mr. Kyerematen proceeded to the Ho Central Market and urged the traders to vote for him to enable him to make the region a skills development hub.

In Mafi, he and his entourage paid a courtesy call on Manklalo Togbe Brentuo Asafo IV, who said Ghana needs a third force.
“We want to have a third force. We are fed up with the NDC and NPP. I am not condemning them, they have done what they could. They have too much time in power. We pray God makes him [Alan Kyerematen] the third force to govern us. The chiefs and people of Mafi are behind him”, he said
Mr. Kyerematen affirmed this and indicated that Ghanaians are advocating for a change, a new face to steer the affairs of the country.
“The majority of Ghanaians are looking for change. They are asking for a government of national unity, a union government which will not only be composed of people who are politicians. But all our stakeholders, including chiefs, religious men, and various people”, he said.
He said the Volta Region would be allocated a chunk of development projects under his government to uplift the status of the region, adding that the region has potential in agriculture, oil and gas, and tourism among others.
The Movement for Change team ended their tour at the Sogakofe Market with a similar message to the traders.
