As Ghana gears up for the upcoming elections, Alhaji Boniface Sadiqque Abubakar, a former MP for Salaga and Madina, has called on Ghanaians to vote for unity and progress. Speaking to chiefs and youth in the Salaga South constituency of the Savannah Region, he urged citizens to cast their votes based on integrity and a shared vision for Ghana, rather than on tribal, religious, or party affiliations.

Addressing the gathering, Boniface endorsed Alan Kyerematen, the presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, describing him as a leader with the capacity to transform Ghana. "Alan Kyerematen’s vision will bring meaningful change to this country. He is a man who believes in progress, accountability, fairness, and inclusion,” he declared, emphasizing that Alan stands for every Ghanaian regardless of background.

In a pointed critique of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boniface noted the party’s neglect of loyal members who have dedicated years to its cause. He highlighted Alan Kyerematen’s departure from the NPP, attributing it to the ill-treatment he faced from a group that had “hijacked the party for their personal parochial interests.” “The way Alan and other founding members have been treated shows a disregard for loyalty and hard work,” Boniface remarked, portraying Alan’s exit as a testament to his resolve to pursue a more just political environment.

Boniface’s appeal to the Savannah region was clear: he urged constituents to stand behind Alan Kyerematen, framing this support as a commitment to progress and integrity. Even though the Movement for Change is not fielding parliamentary candidates, Boniface encouraged the electorate to select trustworthy parliamentary representatives who would work in tandem with Alan’s vision. “Vote for candidates you can trust - those who will work effectively alongside Alan for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he advised.
