The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, is expected to take his campaign to the Ashanti Region on Thursday.Mr Kyerematen on Wednesday rounded off his tour of the Greater Accra region where he met with members of the party’s Electoral College in 25 constituencies.During his rounds, he has been reminding supporters of the party about the reasons for its defeat in 2008.According to him, campaign strategy, organization and the party’s inability to select the right leaders were mainly to blame for the party’s failure to retain power.Spokesperson for Mr Kyerematen, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, tells Joy News his recent tour of the Greater Accra Region was eye opener.“The long grassroots walk approach where he opens up, people feel him, people greet him, he greets people and it’s caused quite a stir. And once you do that the party in the constituency itself becomes energized and recognized as being alive. Reception has been extremely enthusiastic,” he said.According to Mr Buabeng Asamoah, although “one can never tell exactly what delegates will do at the end of the day,” Mr Kyerematen “has hit the nail on the head with the message about a candidate who attracts votes across the political divide and therefore is capable of beating an incumbent government decisively on election day.”Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
