A late Alex Asamoah strike secured a vital 1-0 victory for Porcupine Warriors over relegation bound Sporting Mirren at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Week 26 of the Glo Premier League. The victory puts pressure on league leaders Hearts of Oak whose game against Wa All Stars at the Ohene Djan Sports was postponed due to heavy downpour. The Phobians must win on Monday to keep their title ambitions alive with four matches to go. Elsewhere Kpando Hearts of Lions piped Ashgold 1-0 at the Kpando Stadium. King Faisal shared the spoils with Berekum Arsenals at the dreaded Berekum City Park. The visitors shot into the lead, but Arsenals with an impregnable home record, spanning over three seasons without defeat, clawed back to earn 1-1 drawn game. RTU boosted their fight against relegation with a 2-0 victory over Beechem Chelsea at the Tamale Sports Stadium. Sekondi Hasaacas pinched Sekondi Eleven Wise 1-0 in a local derby. Hasaacas have vowed not to go on relegation and the victory over the local rivals could not have come at an opportune time. In Tema, Liberty secured a point following a hard fought 1-1 drawn game played at the Tema Sports Stadium. The match between Kessben FC and All Blacks was also rained-off.
