The Chief Executive Director of Stanbic Bank, Alhassan Andani, has tasked entrepreneurs to be patient and focused if they want to survive in the business world.
According to him, it is important for an entrepreneur to not lose the focus of his business or drift from it.
Citing an example Mr Andanni told, Kojo Yankson, on The Super Morning Show on Joy FM, that business moguls like Mr Joseph Agyapong of the JOSPONG Group and Kwesi Twum of The Multimedia Group as well as Ernest Bediako of Ernest Chemists are people who have stayed focused in their journey to building their companies.
"These are the true story of Ghanaian entrepreneurship. If you meet the kind of professionals, who have come through Joy Fm and all its subsidiaries, these are consummate professionals in everything that they do and that is what entrepreneurship is about, focus," he said.
The Stanbic Bank Chief Executive urged entrepreneurs to employ, train and use talents that can contribute significantly to the growth of their businesses.
Mr Andani said these talents can help the company evolve and take a life of its own.
He explained that it is therefore important for entrepreneurs to separate themselves from the business entirely.
"So, the enterprise just becomes too big, and the interest of the clients supersedes even those who would work there, and it just gets a life of its own. So it's about being patient and build and use professionals," Mr Andani.
