The Ghana Boxing Team at the ongoing 10th All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique has given the country its first medal at the games.
Heavyweight boxer Maxwell Amponsah and Lightweight contender David Bawah were able to amass bronze medals due to their qualification to the medal zone after losing their respective semi final bout to their Nigerian contenders on Thursday.
The Black Bombers have had a disappointing tournament after super heavyweight contender; Alhaji Haruna Osman who was a medal hopeful could not qualify to the medal zone.
Meanwhile, the Ghana athletics team has promised to get the country more medals when they kick start the track and field event on Sunday.
