The Centralised Services Recruitment Secretariat (CSRS) has released comprehensive guidelines for the 2025/2026 Service Recruitment Aptitude Test, detailing timelines, applicant categories, test requirements, and assessment procedures.
According to the notice, the online aptitude test will be conducted over 13 days, from Tuesday, February 10 to Sunday, February 22, 2026, and will be organised in phases based on applicants’ educational and professional qualifications.
Category A applicants, including those with NVTI, JHS, sports, and other certificate qualifications, will take their test from Tuesday, February 10 to Friday, February 13, 2026. They will answer 30 questions and will also undergo a trade test corresponding to their selected vacancies.
Category B applicants, comprising HND, degree, and master’s holders, are scheduled to sit for the test between Saturday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and will answer 60 questions.
Category C applicants, including WASSCE holders, will take their test from Wednesday, February 18 to Sunday, February 22, 2026, and will also answer 60 questions.
Applicants who applied to multiple services are required to take the aptitude test only once, except in cases where applications span different categories or agencies, which may require additional testing.
To ensure a smooth examination process, candidates are strongly encouraged to use a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam and microphone, as the test will be strictly supervised online.
Upon clicking the Start Test button, applicants will undergo an enrolment process that includes system checks such as internet strength, background noise levels, webcam calibration, liveness detection, and identity confirmation. Candidates are expected to maintain proper face alignment throughout the examination.
The test is fully proctored using advanced artificial intelligence, with session recordings and random snapshots deployed to detect any form of malpractice.
All applicants are advised to log into their recruitment portals within their assigned dates to access the test link. SMS notifications will also be sent to remind qualified candidates of their test availability.
The pass mark for the aptitude test is set at 65 per cent. Applicants are urged to prepare thoroughly and ensure all technical requirements are met ahead of their scheduled test dates.
