David Apasera was on Saturday elected as the People’s National Convention parliamentary candidate in the December polls for the Bolgatanga Constituency.
He polled 110 votes representing 57 percent out the total votes cast, to beat his only contender Lawyer Rockson Akugre who polled 83 votes, representing 43 percent.
The PNC delegates congress for the Bolgatanga constituency also saw the election of other constituency executives including the Chairman, two Vice Chairmen, Secretary, Organizer and Youth Organizer.
David Apasera was happy about the success of the congress and his victory and called for party unity to ensure victory in the December elections.
His opponent, Lawyer Rockson Akugre conceded defeat and promised his unflinching support for Apasera.
