The Member of Parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa in the Central Region, Paul Collins Appiah Ofori has described British Prime Minister, David Cameron as ‘stupid’, and further describing Cameron's threat that UK will withhold aid to governments that do not reform legislations banning homosexuality, as racist. Mr. Appiah Ofori explained that UK Prime Minister’s comment is very unfortunate and said only senseless people will make such comments. He maintained that man to woman relationship promotes procreation, adding Gayism should not be tolerated at all in all spheres of life. The opposition New Patriotic Party MP said this in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Tuesday. David Cameron, in a recent interview with BBC One’s Andrew Marr Show, threatened to cut aid to anti-gay countries, adding that nations receiving UK aid should "adhere to proper human rights." But Mr. Appiah Ofori said David Cameron should to tell his people to practice homosexuality in their country and not in Ghana. On the issue that UK will withhold its aid to countries that do not reform legislation banning homosexuality, Appiah Ofori said aid that Ghana gets from UK is insignificant. He therefore called on political leaders to put in place appropriate measures to ensure that people benefit immensely from the country’s natural resources. Meanwhile, former President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Moses Foh Amoaning has said that there is no legal backing in the country that supports homosexuality. Mr. Foh Amoaning noted that the statutory laws of Ghana bans unnatural sex, adding there is no customary law that supports homosexuality. He said not everything that is being practiced in the Western world is right. He added that UK Prime Minister’s comment is senseless.
