St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School in the Greater Accra Region emerged the winner of the Inter-School Rap Challenge at the 2016 Joy FM Skuuls Reunion held on Saturday.

Represented by a former student who at the University of Ghana, the school established in 1952 triumphed over Akim State Senior High School and Oda Senior High School both in the Eastern Region.

 

Earlier the atmosphere at the Black Star Square where the programme is taking place:

Energetic, excited and sweaty, alumni of the Unity Hall of the KNUST stormed the Independence Square drum-totting. They lighted up the venue. 

Charge...charge was the word on the lips of the past and current students as they gathered at the Black Star Square for the landmark programme in the country, Joy FM's 2016 Old Skuuls Reunion Saturday.

Alumnus and current students of the all-male hall in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science (KNUST), Continental Hall have lifted a 'jama' song, warming the atmosphere.

Clad in their black attire the 'Conti' squard are charging non-stop.

Katanga students of the University Hall also of KNUST took over. The yellow and black boys were unfazed by the display by their colleagues.

Earlier: There was a debate competition to whet appetite for the programme

Clad in very interesting and dramatic outfits which fit this occasion, the old students of participating schools have started arriving at the venue. Some of them have begun warming up and announcing their presence.

This year's event started with a debate on the topic "Democracy is not good for Africa" with Nana Ansah Kwaw IV and
Chief Moomen arguing for the motion whilst Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe and Irbard Ibrahim argued against the motion.
