The Kotobabi District Police have picked-up one suspect Abubakar Abdul Salam for the death of Nasifi Osman Mohammed, who was killed in his room at Accra New Town by men suspected to be armed robbers.
The deceased and his siblings, Mustapha Musah and Jamiru Osman Mohammed were attacked at dawn yesterday by the masked men.
The robbers demanded money, but the victims, who are reported to be students, refused to give them anything and this forced the robbers to stab and inflict knife wounds on them.
One of them had his stomach split open and died on arrival at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.
The other two sustained varying degrees of injuries.
One of the victims told Joy News' Francis Abban they don't feel safe anymore in Ghana.
Fortunately the police have made their first arrest.
The District Police Commander, DSP Elizabeth Dankwa told Joy News they are on a hunt for two other suspects on the run.
"At the moment we have been able to arrest one person," she said adding, the suspect is believed to be living in the area.
