The police administration in collaboration with the Ghana Navy, Army and Airforce have been deployed across Greater Accra and Kumasi where a lockdown has been imposed to quell the spread of the coronavirus.
The operation, dubbed ‘Operation COVID Safety’ has been described by the security personnel as a humanitarian exercise that seeks to protect the lives of citizens.
Meanwhile, a total of 246 markets in Ahafo, Bono and Bono East Regions are being disinfected by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Today, March 30, 2020.
The exercise will affect 43, 125 and 78 markets in Ahafo, Bono and Bono East, respectively.
This follows similar exercises undertaken in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions.
