Football legend, Asamoah Gyan, believes West Ham manager, David Moyes, is managing the minutes of Mohammed Kudus well.
The former Sunderland striker is saying this amid calls for the 23-year-old to start games for the Hammers in the Premier League.
Kudus has made five appearances for West Ham in the league, with no start, scoring his first league goal to rescue a point for them in a 2-2 draw on Sunday against Newcastle United.
Reacting to the clamours for the former Ajax talisman to start games in the league, Gyan argued that Moyes is integrating him well into the team.
“The coach is managing him very well. I think the coach is [not] convinced if he wants to start him in a Premier League game,” Gyan wrote on X (Twitter).
Before adding, “I had the same situation when I moved to Sunderland. Fans didn’t understand why a record signing player should be coming on as a sub and kept proving himself.
“Steve Bruce made me understand that he didn’t want to put too much pressure on me and that the right moment will come. It came and I took it.”
Apart from the five substitute appearances in the Premier League, Kudus has also featured in three other games in cup competitions, scoring two goals in two Europa League games.
