Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan marked his debut for UAE giants Al Ain on a winning note on Friday.
The 25-year-old came on in the 60th minute as his side run away with the maximum points.
The Ghana international attacker did not score but was involved in a situation that could have resulted in a goal for his side.
He fired a shot which forced a superb save from the opponent's goalkeeper.
The only other notable incident involving the Ghanaian player was when an opponent intentionally threw a ball at him.
The Dubai player received a second yellow card and his marching-off orders for that attack on Gyan.
Al Ain coach has stated that he will slowly ease Gyan into competition in the UAE to avoid injuries.
Gyan made the controversial move last month and announced his readiness for a new challenge in the Gulf after playing in Europe since 17.
