The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is asking politicians to desist from interfering in the Dagbon chieftaincy dispute.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II says the situation in Dagbon remains volatile because politicians are fuelling factionalism between the feuding parties.
According to him previous attempts to settle the impasse was partly unsuccessful because of political interference.
Speaking at the Grand durbar to mark the 40th anniversary of the enstoolment of Juabenhene, Daasebre Otuo Sereboo, the Asantehene said he can peacefully resolve the dispute if politicians stay away.
He stressed that his work has been made more difficult because the Andanis and Abudus are relying on the National Democratic Congress and New Patriotic Party respectively.
