The Member of Parliament for the Ashaiman Constituency, Alfred Agbesi says he will file a motion before Parliament to ask the house to defer the adoption of Adenta as the capital for the newly created Adenta-Ashaiman Municipal Assembly.The Speaker of Parliament has earlier on rejected the MP’s request for the withdrawal of a Local Government Instrument on the creation of the Municipality.Mr. Agbesi and his constituents have been clamouring for Ashaiman instead of Adenta to be made the capital of the new district.Speaking to Joy News, the MP said he is holding discussions with the MP for Adenta Kojo Opare-Hammond to resolve the conflict over the location of the capital.He therefore, wants parliament to defer the adoption until he and his colleague MP have resolved the matter at their level.Mr. Agbesi is hopeful that his colleague MPs will support his motion.
