Health authorities in the Ashanti Region say they have the capacity to deal with any possible outbreak of cholera in the region.
They said they are adequately prepared to combat the epidemic should it occur.
Last week cholera claimed some 13 lives in the Northern region and there are fears that it could spread to other areas of the country.Though there are no reports of the disease in the region yet, officials say they are alert.
