The Ashanti Regional Security Council is contemplating a ban on the activities of drivers who don’t belong to any station.It is one of the ways the council is hoping to curb the increasing spate of road accidents.The Regional Minister Dr. Kwaku Agyemang Mensah told Joy News the council is conferring with the various transport unions in the region on how to effectively enforce such a ban.He said the move will help authorities monitor activities of drivers and punish recalcitrant ones.The Ashanti Regional Minister said the council will also step up monitoring of the various unions.He said there must be absolute cooperation between the unions to ensure that the action works.
