The Member of Parliament for Asutifi North, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, is providing two-in-one beds to Gyedu Technical Institute to help address a shortage of accommodation facilities.
Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony, the MP explained that the school’s growing population of over 1,320 students has created a deficit of beds, negatively affecting teaching and learning.
The 35 bunk beds are expected to benefit 70 students.

Mr. Addo noted that the shortage of beds has significantly impacted students’ academic performance, prompting him to fund the initiative.
The beds were manufactured by first- and second-year students of the school’s Welding and Fabrication Technology department.

He urged both students and management to maintain the beds properly to ensure they serve their intended purpose of improving academic conditions.
The school’s Principal, Charles Akrobeto, who received the items on behalf of the institution, described the gesture as timely, noting that inadequate beds have been a major challenge.
He also appealed to other stakeholders, particularly the government, to support the institute in further enhancing teaching and learning.
