The district offices of the Electoral Commission at Kwabeng was the centre of attention Sunday as representatives of the four political parties contesting the elections thronged the EC office to monitor deployment of voting materials to the 113 polling stations across the constituency. The exercise continued Monday.
From the District Police Headquarters at Anyinam to the EC offices, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), who with the New Vision Party (NVP) witnessed the handing over of the materials to the EC officers, followed the pick-up carrying the electoral materials all the way to the EC district office.
At the EC office, all four parties- the ruling National Democratic Congress, People’s National Convention, NPP and the NVP keenly monitored the transportation of materials to the polling stations.
Party representatives asked questions and took details of the serial numbers of ballot papers and are expected to cross-check the materials at each polling station Tuesday morning before the poll kicks off at 7am. Voting will close at 5pm.
