Mr Hanock Davies Bansah, Ho-Central Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned members of the party against double registration in the upcoming biometric registration.
He said such acts would make them lose their votes and this could in turn affect the Party in the coming elections.
Mr Bansah gave the caution at an end-of-year general meeting in Ho for Party Members.
He appealed to them to focus on encouraging their relatives, friends and sympathizers of the Party to register and vote massively for the NDC to retain power.
“We have to spread the information about the several development projects taking place in the rural areas and invite them to register and vote for us,” Mr Bansah said.
He also called for unity among the rank and file of the Party to ensure a resounding victory for the Party in 2012.
Mr Seth Adetor, a Former Propaganda Secretary for the Constituency, said disunity in the Constituency was making the Party unpopular and urged the executive to develop a way to unite the Party ahead of the 2012 elections.
Madam Felicia Akuaku, a leading member of the Party, said indications were that the Party was losing its command in the Constituency and appealed to the branch executives to work harder to see the Party through the elections successfully.
Five parliamentary aspirants for the Constituency were introduced to the gathering. They are Captain George Nfodjo (rtd), the incumbent, Mr Benjamin Kpodo, a Finance Officer, Mrs Fafa Adinyira, a Human Resource Practitioner, Mr Gordon Akpadie, a Lawyer and Mr Stephen Adom, a Teacher.
