Information available to Joy News indicates that the Majority caucus in Parliament will maintain the president's duo of Cletus Avoka and Rashid Pelpuo as the Majority Leader and Deputy respectively.
The two will replace Alban Bagbin the Minister of Water, Works and Housing designate and John Tia Information Minister-designate respectively.
President John Evans Atta Mills in his first reshuffle in January 25 recommended Cletus Avoka, the MP for Zebilla and the then Minister for Interior, and Rashid Pelpuo, the MP for Wa Central and the then Minister for Youth and Sports to head the Majority Leadership in Parliament.
Joy New's Parliamentary correspondent Araba Koomson says incontrovertible information gathered from the corridors of the Majority indicate that after series of meetings with the leadership of the party for weeks, the Majority in Parliament has decided to uphold the president's decision.
MP for Nkwanta South, Geshon Gbediame, also replaces Ningo Prampram MP, E.T. Mensah, as the Majority Chief Whip whilst current Second Deputy Majority Chief Whip Hon. Mary Boforo is now the First Deputy Chief Whip. Mrs Boforo is replaced by Mr Kuntu Blankson as the Second Deputy Chief Whip.
