A couple, Lilian and Kobby Frimpong (Licobb) last Sunday launched their maiden album "Awurade be ye" at the Revival Outreach Church, at Odokor -Tipper, an Accra suburb.
The eight track album includes songs like "Osee yie," "Awurade be ye" (title tracks) "So high", In my love" "Da bi" and "Anopa" (Give the Lord a dance).
According to them the songs and for that matter the album was born out of pains and struggles they had to go through in life during the past 12 years they have been married.
Kobby was quick to recollect circumstances under which his mother-in-law died and the problems that came up between them and some other members of the larger family.
He was grateful that God has taken them through all these difficult times and has always been their comforter. The soothing music gives hope, inspires and comforts.
Just listening to these songs at dawn, can make a difference in one’s life.
Launching the album, Rev. Robert Oppong Yeboah, Resident Pastor, Revival Outreach Church, was happy that the talents of the couple has become a blessing to society through songs ministration.
He quoted Myles Munroe from the Carribbean who once said that the most richest place on earth is not the gold mines of South Africa or elsewhere, but the cemetery.
Rev. Oppong Yeboah said the reason is that many people die with their potentials, abilities and talents without releasing them to the benefit of society.
He said it is to make society benefit from the talents of members, that the church helps them bring out their potentials or talents to the blessing of society.
The first CD was bought for four million cedis.
