The Nkosuohene of Lower Axim Traditional Area in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Nana Osei Nkwantabisa has donated nine hundred and fifty (950) Mathematical Sets to students in Axim and its environs.
The exercise was sponsored by the Omanhene of Lower Axim Traditional Area Awulae Attibrukusu III for all final year students in the Municipality.
The gesture by the Nkosuohene was part of his continuous commitment towards promoting education as well as motivating the finalists in the Municipality which he started last year with Three and Twenty (320) Mathssests and distributed to students within the Apewosika Electoral Area and some selected schools in Axim.

Presenting the items to the Nzema East Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service on Monday, June 6, Nana Osei Nkwantabisa in his remarks reiterated his office’s plans to put in place measures that would seek to promote quality education and develop the youth through vocational training and mentoring programmes aimed at empowering and build their confidence.
This, he added will help to encourage the young ones to get addicted to going to school instead of focusing their attention on fishing, farming and other activities that hamper their future aspirations.
It is necessary to motivate our young ones at their early stage with incentives that will help boost their morale to aim for the best especially at this crucial moments as they prepare to write their final exams, Nana Nkwantabisa stressed.
He further added that with education being part of the developmental process of the youth, it is important for the various stakeholders responsible for the sector to help ensure professional standard practices among teachers is adhered at all levels.

Nana Nkwantabisa urged students to ensure discipline, take their studies seriously and abide by the rules and regulations before and during the examinations which starts on June 13, 2016.
He challenged the youth to respect the elderly and authority in the society since without according the elderly the needed curtsey; it is against the will God according to the Bible.
Parents were tasked to invest into the educational wellbeing of their wards to enable them become responsible and useful citizens of the society.
On her part, Mrs Gloria Gontor, a representative of the Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service on behalf of the Directorate thanked Nana Nkwantabisa for his kind gesture and appealed for more of such support in his future endeavours.

The distribution exercise covered the five examination centres of the Municipality, with all the thirteen JHS Schools in the Axim Circuit benefiting, those who will be writing at Nsein Senior High School Centre, Northern part of the Municipality as well as part of Central Gwira.
