Ballot papers, pink sheets other election materials have been destroyed at the Ahafo Ano North Collation Centre.
Vote collation at the centre was halted after a violent protest last night at the collation centre in Tepa.
The unrest was triggered by angry voters who expressed frustration over delays in the collation process.
The military intervention managed to disperse the crowd, but by then, significant damage had been done to the collation centre.
According to JoyNews reporter Anthony Bryan Opoku, the violence began when a crowd, upset with the slow pace of the electoral process, started throwing stones and causing destruction at the centre.
The situation escalated to a point where security personnel were forced to intervene.

"There was an incident where the EC officers were doing their returns with the ballot. The crowd, very agitated, started throwing stones and breaking into the collation centre," Opoku explained.
"It took the military to come in and escort the EC officials out with warning shots. Tempers were really rising, and the situation got out of control."
"The crowd entered the centre, vandalizing items and destroying important election materials, including ballot papers and pink sheets. The logistics and gadgets used for the collation were all vandalized."
