The security agencies have warned that they will deal decisively with individuals or group of persons who will disrupt the peace as the new Ga Mantse gets set to perform the purification rites to lift the ban on drumming and noise making.
A statement signed by the Greater Accra Regional minister, Sheik I.C Quaye indicates that the security agencies have been instructed to arrest anybody who will take advantage of the pre-Homowo celebrations to foment trouble in the Ga state.
As part of the purification rites, the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Tawiah III will beat a traditional drum to convey good wishes to the citizens of the Ga state and also pray for blessings and prosperity.
The ban was imposed last month as prelude to the Homowo celebrations
