Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawamia will today begin a two-day tour of the Western Region.
The exercise is to enable the Vice President to engage with traditional leaders, members of the Muslim Communities, as well as cut sod and commission some developmental projects.
Dr. Bawamia is expected to begin his tour from Atobiase in the Wassa East District before moving to Jomoro to address the chiefs and people of Samenye.
Later in the day, the Vice President will continue the tour from Jomoro to Elubo to meet various groups.
Dr. Bawamia will end day one of his tour at Tarkwa, after a stop at Axim where he will cut sod for the LPG Bottling Plant at Akyirim in the Nzema East Municipality.
He will begin the second day of his visit on Thursday at Prestea in the Prestea Huni-Valley municipality in the Ahanta West Municipality where he will attend a durbar organised by the Chiefs and people of Prestea Nkwanta.
He will continue to Amenfi East to inspect the Sureso to Samscott road and move to Amenfi Central to interact with community members and commission a JHS at the Islamic School at Manso Amenfi.
Dr. Bawamia will also move to Asankragwa in the Amenfi West municipality to interact with the chief.
The Vice President will end his two-day tour to the Region at Amenfi East where he has been scheduled to inspect the Suhyensu Bawdie Asikuma-Dawurampong road.
