The flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for election 2024, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has lauded the creation of the North East Region, asserting that it has led to remarkable development in that part of the country.
He emphasised the region's transformation, citing the completion of over 300 infrastructure projects since its inception as evidence of substantial progress.
During a gathering with religious leaders in the North East Region as part of his extensive nationwide tour, Dr Bawumia reiterated his dedication to advancing regional development.
He assured the clergy and residents of his commitment to further bolstering growth and prosperity if elected to lead a new NPP government.
He stressed the need for sustained efforts to continue the positive trajectory and improve the quality of life for residents of the region.
The meeting with the clergy allowed Dr Bawumia to engage with key stakeholders and reaffirm his vision for the region's future.
“If you look at the projects we have done in the North East region, and I was looking at the data yesterday, we have completed 378 projects in the North East region. All completed in the last seven years, and there are 138 projects that are ongoing which we will do them. And these include 93 classroom blocks that we have built,"he touted.
