New Patriotic Party presidential ticket running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Sunday registered as a voter in the ongoing biometric voter’s registration exercise.
Dr. Bawumia registered at the Presby Primary School Polling Station in his hometown, Kperiga, in the Walewale constituency of the Northern Region.
Dr. Bawumia has since Friday been in his hometown embarking on a number of activities including presenting himself to the Nayiri, ‘his father’ and overlord of Mamprugu, partaking in the National Muslim Prayer Service in Tamale and holding various meetings with party people, friends and family and various other groups.
NPP presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo picked him late last month as his running mate, retaining him for another go at the presidency come election 2012. The pair stood for elections in 2008 but failed to win the ultimate after taking a first round lead.
